Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a word processor which can use the multistroke input together with the KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) conversion input with no input mode switching operation.

CONSTITUTION: The KANJI. and KANA character strings are inputted into a document data memory 17 in multiple strokes with use of an input device 11 and a 2-stroke conversion dictionary 15. Then the KANA character strings stored in the memory 17 are converted into the KANA-KANJI character strings through a KANA/KANJI conversion dictionary 14 and in accordance with the chance of conversion inputted from the device 11. Thus the high speed multistroke input can be used together with the general KANA/KANJI conversion with no input mode switching operation. Therefore the character input efficiency is improved.
