PURPOSE: To surely stitch up the work with dissimilar stitch formation estimation line by separately performing the parallel movement and rotation of upper and lower work holding mechanisms while arranging an XY moving mechanism and a rotation mechanism up and down and adjusting the stitch formation direction of the work to the moment generation direction of a rotating hook in the position opposite to an upper thread through hole.
CONSTITUTION: When a stitch S2 which is bent at an angle θ 1 against a stitch S1 is formed, a lower movement means DC drives a rotary motor 7 to stitch a lower work W1 and rotate counterclockwise by (180-θ1) around a needle ascending/descending route NL. Then, a stitch formation estimation line S2 is adjusted to a positive feeding direction A1. The positive feeding direction A1 is the moment generation direction of the rotating hook in the opposite position to the upper thread through hole of a needle N. Then, the fabric is shifted parallely in the A1 direction by one pitch by operating X and Y motors 13 and 16 and a position S2 to which the needle is designed to drop is shifted to the position where the needle is dropped. An upper work movement means UC moves the upper work W2 in the positive feeding direction A1.
