Abstract:
To provide a work protecting device of an elevator in which a protective plate of sufficient thickness can be installed on a hoistway pit with sufficient clearance without any interference with a counterweight or a car.
A protective plate 108 is installed so as to be moved in an advancing/retracting direction to/from a counterweight elevating/lowering area 9 and a car elevating/lowering area 11. The protective plate 108 is urged to the counterweight elevating/lowering area 9 side by a coil spring 14, and when a counterweight 2 is lowered to a vicinity of a hoistway pit 7, the protective plate 108 is moved to the car elevating/lowering area 11 side by a cam 15 provided on the counterweight 2.
