PURPOSE: To enhance applicability of an operation by disposing a plurality of working machines on a working machine for use in track construction which can travel on the ground and on a track so that riding into and out of a railroad can be achieved in a short time.

CONSTITUTION: A compacting machine body 14 as a working machine and a tightening machine body 22 are provided on a machine for use in track construction. Continuous roller belts 2 causes a traveling machine body 1 to run on the ground. The body 1 is introduced into a railroad. The compacting machine body 14 and tightening machine body 22 are vibrated downwardly to mount wheels 17 on rails R. Compacting and tightening operations are performed by means of a plurality of compacting machine bodies 14 and the tightening machine body 22. After completion of compacting and tightening operations, the bodies 14 and body 22 are vibrated upwardly to remove the wheels 17 from the rails R. And the machine body 1 is moved to a next point by means of the belts 2.
