PURPOSE: To attain smooth, synchronous, intermittent, transfer of workpieces using a simplified mechanism by connecting a slider provided with a drive gear which synchronously rotates with a transfer press and a feed bar, with a planetary gear mechanism through a rotating and rocking arm and a variable length rocking arm.

CONSTITUTION: The 1st lever 7 is turned by transmitting rotation of the drive gear 5 synchronously rotating with the press to the 1st planetary gear 3 of a carrier 4 which rotates and revolves simultaneously. Turning of the lever 7 makes the rocking arm 8 turn asynchronously and that asynchronous turning is transmitted to the 2nd lever 21 through the 2nd planetary gear 10 and a ring gear 11. A drive pin 21a set on the 2nd lever 21 rocks a swing arm 16 intermittently and a drive pin 18 set on the arm 16 rocks the slider 14 provided with the feed bar 12 intermittently. The drive pin 18 is varied its stroke by a screw 17. This device performs intermittent positioning transfer of workpieces being synchronous with the press using a simplified mechanism.
