To provide a woven fabric having a furrow structure of raised cloth or raised nap, and therefore having a variously changeable surface and an excellent aesthetic appearance, and to provide a method for efficiently producing the woven fabric.
In this method for producing the multilayered woven fabric having a multilayered structure composed of two or more layers, the fabric is so designed and woven that at least one shrinkable yarn thread layer and another nonshrinkable yarn thread layer are integrated with each other in continuously joining areas on specified positions, by using shrinkable yarn threads for forming the shrinkable yarn thread layer and further using nonshrinkable yarn threads for forming the nonshirinkable yarn layer, then the nonshrinkable yarn thread layer is cut off, and further the back face of the fabric is shrunk by a specified procedure, so that the nonshrinkable yarn thread layer is formed into a V-shaped or U-shaped structure of the raised cloth or the raised nap.
