PURPOSE: To provide an elevator support system coping with failure without requiring extremely high expertise and further dispensing with even a manual.
CONSTITUTION: An elevator monitoring device 2 having detected an elevator failure based on a data from an elevator monitoring device 1 transmits a failure signal to a central device 3. The central device 3 extracts a support data corresponding to the failure of the transmitted failure signal among support data in a support data storage device 34 to transmit it to the elevator monitoring device 2 via a telephone line 4. A maintenance worker 6 who arrives at a site of a failed elevator because of failure information from the central device 3 connects a carried portable terminal device 7 to a connection part 25t of the elevator monitoring device 2 to extract the support data transmitted from the central device 3 onto the portable terminal device 7 and according thereto conducts maintenance for the failure.
