Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which is excellent in a contact property between oily water and an adsorbing material, simple, and capable of efficient adsorption in an oil/water separator for separating industrial drainage mixed with lubricating oil etc., into water and oil and removing using the adsorbing material.
SOLUTION: An oil/water separator consists of a storage tank 3 for storing drainage supplied from a drain pit 1 through a pump 2 temporarily, the first adsorption tank 7 which is filled with an adsorbing material and the lower part of which receives the supply of drainage from below the storage tank, a ventilation tank 14 which is installed above the tank 7, and the second adsorption tank 16 which is filled with the adsorbing material and the lower part of which receives the supply of drainage from the tank 14. In this case, a ventilation-discharge pipe 22 is installed in the upper part of the second adsorption tank, a pressurized air supply means 8 is connected with the lower parts of the tanks 7, 16 through a valve means, and pressurized air is supplied from the means 8 for constitution.
