PURPOSE: To reduce cost of an electrophotographic device by operating an engaging member properly by one operation means and intermitting a paper feed roller clutch and a photosensitive clutch alternately so as to control rotations of a paper feed roller and a photosensitive body.

CONSTITUTION: In a laser printer, when a sheet is to be sent out by a paper feed roller 20, a solenoid 50 is turned on, an engaging member 45 is rocked clockwise against a spring 51 by resiliency, and a claw 45b at one end of the member is released from a paper feed roller ratchet 41. On the other hand, a claw 45a at other end is engaged with a photosensitive body 44. Then, rotation from a drive source is transmitted to the paper feed roller 20 for rotating the roller and a photosensitive clutch 43 operates so as to cut off the transmission of the rotation from the drive source to the photosensitive body 11 and prevent the rotation of the photosensitive body 11. A solenoid clutch 42 is turned on to prevent the transmission of the rotation from the drive source to a resist roller 21. The paper feed roller 20 is rotated for sending the sheet out and making it strike against the resist roller 21 so as to stop it.
