Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forest biomass collection/utilization system enabling forest biomass such as trees to be carried out of the forest and utilized at slight cost/labor and in a way of suppressing nature destruction to a minimum, also enabling even residues having been left to stand in the forest so far such as twigs/branches and thinnings to be utilized, and applicable to forest biomass accumulated in small-scale groves as well. SOLUTION: This system includes biomass crushing equipment each having a forest biomass crusher and a crushed chip issue port, a pneumatic conveying pipeline laid from the inside of the forest over the outer rim or the outside of the forest, having a plurality of inflow ports inside the forest and discharge ports at the outer rim of or outside the forest, and connective pipes connecting the above issue ports and the above inflow ports to each other. This system works as follows: forest biomass crushed chips discharged through the discharge ports are fed into a biomass conversion unit where they are converted into thermal energy, combustible gas, liquid fuel, charcoal or compost by at least either one means among pyrolysis, gasification and fermentation.
