Abstract:
To provide: a continuously induction-heating furnace for steel strip, which can stably induction-heat even under high temperature atmosphere containing H2; and a method for continuously heat-treating the steel strip using the same.
The continuously induction-heating furnace, has an atmospheric gas sealing shell at the inside of an induction-heating coil, and this atmospheric gas sealing shell is composed of an electric insulating structural material having ≥106MΩcm volume resistivity. Assuming that a prescribed value of the electric potential difference between the induction-heating coil and the steel strip, is βkV, the atmospheric gas sealing shell is disposed at the position where the separating distance α(mm) from the inner surface of the induction-heating coil satisfies α/β≤10; and further, an electric and heat insulating material having 102MΩcm volume resistivity is disposed at the inner side of the atmospheric gas sealing shell. Furthermore, in the method continuously heat-treating the steel strip, the heating furnace is used and the inner part of the atmospheric gas sealing shell is controlled to the high temperature atmosphere at ≥500°C, containing ≥1% H2, and the electric potential of the coil current which is supplied to the induction-heating coil, is set to ≥5 kV.
