Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict power supply exceeding power chargeable battery, while preventing degradation in NVH and fuel cost due to engine stop and restart, by stopping the engine at an appropriate timing when a brake operation is performed by a driver during power generation by the motor generator of a series type hybrid vehicle.SOLUTION: At a point in time that a brake operation performed by a driver is detected and the detected state continues for a predetermined time during power generation by a motor generator 20, an engine 10 is stopped. Additionally, the predetermined time is set in advance to such a time that the maximum deceleration of a hybrid vehicle 1 during the brake operation in the predetermined time is equal to or lower than a predetermined deceleration, or to such a time that the maximum regenerative power by a traveling motor 40 during the brake operation in the predetermined time is equal to or lower than the predetermined power or less.
