Abstract:
A single tier drying section (16) is disclosed for drying a web (12). The drying section (16) includes a dryer (63) and a felt (72) guided about the dryer (63) such that the web (12) is disposed between the dryer (63) and the felt (72) for drying a first side of the web (12). A further dryer (94) is disposed downstream relative to the dryer (63) and a further felt (110) is guided about the further dryer (94) such that the web (12) is disposed between the further dryer (94) and the further felt (110) for drying a second side of the web (12). A dryer transfer mechanism (116) is used for transferring the web from the dryer (63) to the further dryer (94)
