Abstract:
To provide dehydrating and drying apparatus and method for slurry, not causing uneven drying in a cake, shortening the drying time, economical and having excellent durability.
A heating medium is supplied to a filter chamber storing slurry surrounded with filter cloth, a metallic hollow body disposed in the filter chamber to divide the filter chamber into two parts, and the inside of the hollow body. The inside of the hollow body is provided with a passage for letting the heating medium make a detour. A projected material is provided on the surface of the hollow body. The surface of the hollow body is provided with filter cloth and a passage for a filtrate by the filter cloth.
