PURPOSE: To improve washing efficiency over the entire part of a washing stage and to rapidly dry the wash by enhancing the contact efficiency of the wash and a washing liquid so as to improve the washing efficiency and enhancing the liquid removing rate of the washing liquid at the point of the time when the respective washing stages end.

CONSTITUTION: Washing is executed by revolving a revolving shaft 3 in the state of immersing the wash in a rotary basket 4 or a cage 2 contg. the wash into the washing liquid 10 in a washing tank 1 and rotating the wash in the rotary basket 4 or the cage 2 contg. the wash in the washing stage. The washing liquid 10 is discharged from the washing tank 1 after the end of the washing and the revolving shaft 3 is revolved to centrifugally remove the washing liquid sticking to the wash in the rotary basket 4 or the wash in the cage 2. Further, the revolving shaft 3 is rotated and while the wash in the rotary basket 4 or the wash in the cage 2 is kept rotated, a drying gas is supplied into the washing tank 1 and the wash is dried in the drying stage.
