PURPOSE: To provide such a packing member which keeps watertightness with a window frame and a sash frame in a window structure which can be opened both inward and outward of a building.
CONSTITUTION: A packing member is formed by two vertical stile corresponding portions which are secured in place corresponding to the vertical stile of a window frame 60, two horizontal stile corresponding portions 75 which are secured in place corresponding to the horizontal stile of the window frame 60, and four angle main bodies 7 forming an L-shaped front corresponding to the angles of the window frame 60 and adapted for connecting the vertical and horizontal stile corresponding portions together. The cross sections of the vertical and horizontal stile corresponding portions which are perpendicular to each other in the longitudinal direction, have a two-peak projecting portion pointed to a sash frame 40 with a recess at the center of the projecting portion. The vertical and horizontal 75 stile corresponding portions are both in the form of a pipe and each angle main body 71 is provided with inlet portions 72 which project from both ends thereof, are inserted into the end portions of the vertical or horizontal stile corresponding portions 75 and can be secured in place.
