Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handwritten character input device and a computer program for facilitating correction of a part of characters of a character string.SOLUTION: When handwriting a pattern of characters in a character handwriting area 431, an input control part 311 recognizes the character from the pattern of the respective handwritten characters, displays a list of candidates of a character string matching a recognition result of each character on a candidate word box 44, and receives selection of the candidate to be inputted. When the pattern of the characters in which only the character having low recognition accuracy can be recognized exists, the input control part 311 also displays a reinput-receiving character string in which the character having the low recognition accuracy inside the character string comprising the respective recognized characters is set as an underscore character "_" on the candidate word box 44 (a), erase the display of the character handwriting area 431 corresponding to the character having the low recognition accuracy if the reinput-receiving character string is selected (b), and receives reinput of the pattern of the characters to the character handwriting area 431 (c).
