PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material and a packaging method capable of solving all the problems of including the impossibility of removing an adhesive agent stuck to a packaged article when a packaging material is wound on the packaged article in the case of a conventional packaging material, the generation of abnormal sound caused by rubbing between packaging materials, and easy damaging of the package article itself because of no cushioning of the packaging material itself.SOLUTION: A packaging line of thread made of a heat shrinkable fiber, and a braided article or cloth are provided. The heat shrinkage fiber satisfies (1) boiling water shrinkage ratio SHW(%)≥40, (2) 160°C×30 minute dry heat shrinkage ratio SHD(%)≥boiling water shrinkage ratio SHW(W), (3) thermal stress peak temperature (°C)=60 to 95, (4) thermal stress peak temperature time stress (mg/dte×)≥50.SELECTED DRAWING: None
