Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tie rod length adjustment device adapted to several kinds of tie rods.SOLUTION: The tie rod length adjustment device is provided with an adjustment unit for use in adjusting a tie rod length, and a driving unit 3 having driving gears for use in driving the adjustment unit 2. The adjustment unit includes: an adjustment device 6 supported on a base board 21 to adjust a tie rod length while rotating a rod body 102 and a lock nut 103, an adjustment gear arranged at the adjustment device 6 and engaged with the rod body 102 and the lock nut 103; and a force transmitting device for use in transmitting a drive force of the driving gears to the adjustment gear. There are provided a connecting device 4 for removably connecting the adjustment unit 2 to the driving unit 3, and a phase detecting sensor 64a for use in detecting a detected section arranged in the adjustment gear to detect whether or not a phase of the adjustment gear corresponds to a predetermined original position.
