Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter cartridge for water treatments capable of removing, easily in high precision, radioactive cesium included within underground water or tap water, soil washing water, sewage, agricultural water, etc. without requiring a large-scale precipitation separation facility or without generating sludge and of facilitating a disposal treatment; and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The provided filter cartridge for removing cesium may include a filter layer (A) obtained by coiling a non-woven fabric (a) to which phosphomolybdic acid groups have been added or may comprise an assembly wherein the filter layer (A) obtained by coiling a non-woven fabric (a) to which phosphomolybdic acid groups have been added and a filter layer (B) obtained by coiling a melt-blown non-woven fabric (b) are arrayed around a coaxial core or may comprise an assembly wherein not only the filter layer (A) and filter layer (B) but also a filter layer (C) consisting of a nanofiber non-woven fabric (c) are wound and arrayed around a coaxial core; a method for manufacturing the same, etc. are also provided.
