Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production of a hollow molded article capable of accurately molding even a complicatedly shaped hollow molded article having a rib inside and capable of corresponding to the design change of the hollow molded article.SOLUTION: A production device (1) for a hollow molded article is composed of a pair of molds (2, 3) and a heating body (8) which is composed of a linear halogen heater or carbon heater. In the heating body (8), a straight line zone (15a, 15b, ...) having a prescribed length is provided at a plurality of places, and the zones are disposed at equally spaced intervals in parallel in the same plane as each other. A pair of half-molded articles are molded by the molds (2, 3), and those joining end surfaces are formed to comprise the same plane. The mold is opened in such a state as leaving one half-molded article in one mold and the other half-molded article in the other mold, and the joining end surfaces of the pair of the half-molded articles are made to face each other so as to separate at a prescribed gap, and are melted by oscillating the heating body (8) inserted in a noncontact state. After evacuating the heating body (8), mold clamping is performed to obtain the hollow molded article.
