To provide a method for producing a fabric enabling a fine pattern to be expressed thereon and causing no alteration of the pattern's design with the lapse of years, and to provide the fabric.
The fabric is such that its warps 11 are woven in a weave density of 30-180 yarns/cm using filament yarns each with a fineness of 20-150 denier or spun yarns each with a fineness of 30-60 bante, and its wefts 12 are woven in a weave density of 50-120 yarns/cm using filament yarns each with a fineness of 20-150 denier or spun yarns each with a fineness of 30-60 bante. The method for producing the fabric 10 comprises a step of weaving the warps and the wefts followed by impregnating them with a resin solution, a step of drying the resultant fabric and a step of pressing the thus dried fabric under a predetermined pressure.
