PURPOSE: To prevent the inclusion of dust between a liquid crystal panel and a polarizing plate by constituting the device in such a manner that electrostatic charge is prevented without irradiation with an ion blow at the time of sticking the polarizing plate to the liquid crystal panel.
CONSTITUTION: The polarizing plate 1 is produced by using a material of a Fermi level higher than the Fermi level of a glass substrate constituting the liquid crystal panel 5. The polarizing plate 1 is stuck to the liquid crystal panel 5 after the surface of the polarizing plate 1 is irradiated with UV rays or while the surface is irradiated with the UV rays. The electrons of the polarizing plate 1 are subjected to external photoelectron radiation, and therefore there are no longer differences in the electron levels between the polarizing plate 1 and the liquid crystal panel 5 and a contact potential difference is lowered. The electrification is thus prevented.
