PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a continuous medium.SOLUTION: The medium processor includes: a conveyance path for conveying a continuous medium; a cutting part for cutting the continuous medium with length which is equal to or less than a specific value; and a detection part for detecting the presence/absence of the continuous medium at a position where a distance between the continuous medium on the conveyance path and the cutting position of the continuous medium by the cutting part is equal to or more than the predetermined value at the upstream side of the conveyance path from the cutting part.
