Abstract:
The offset printer has one or more printing station with a transfer cylinder (03,07) on either side of the paper. Each transfer cylinder has a printing cylinder (02,11) in contact with it. The printing cylinders may have thin aluminum printing plates wrapped around them, with their edges held by clamps in longitudinal grooves (4) in their cylindrical surfaces. The transfer cylinders may have blankets with their ends held in longitudinal grooves (6). The grooves in the cylinders are broken up into staggered sections. The cylinders are all the same diameter which corresponds to the length of each section of paper to be printed.
