Abstract:

To provide a method for raising a temperature of molten pig iron with the use of a groove type induction heating device, which inhibits the occurrence of a pinching phenomenon, stabilizes a temperature-raising operation, improves heating electric-power efficiency, and besides, inhibits blockage in a duct due to foreign matters, and further prevents it, by keeping the inside of the duct to a normal condition.

This temperature-raising method is characterized by alternate electrification of high output and low output to an induction heating means 35 for heating the duct 30 for the molten pig iron. Then, the method keeps the inside of the duct to the normal condition, and thereby inhibits the occurrence of the pinching phenomenon, stabilizes the temperature-raising operation, improves the heating electric-power efficiency, and besides, inhibits the blockage in the duct due to the foreign matters, and further prevents it.
