Abstract:
For the operation of a loom with a number of drives, with electromotors for the main and shed drives, a control sets their working by transmitted signals. From start-up, the loom is operated initially at a speed slower than the normal working speed, and the shed unit is accelerated to its working speed. The loom speed is raised to the working level when its has reached a given position, rotary speed or torque value. When the loom is stopped, the main drive is braked and slows down to the given conditions and brought to rest, while the shed drive is braked to give a slower deceleration. The shed unit is an electronic dobby, an eccentric machine or a Jacquard.
