Abstract:
A mobile station device includes a mode determining unit that determines two modes that are a normal mode in which the mobile station device is in a normal state of communication with a base station device and a measurement mode in which the mobile station device communicates with the base station device or monitors a base station device to be a handover target. The mobile station device is characterized in that the mode determining unit determines whether or not to set the normal mode or the measurement mode based on a channel quality indication threshold and a channel quality indication characteristic at a frequency being used for the communication.
