Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cellulosic fibers having excellent moisture absorptive and heat build-up property, high washing durability and a feeling equivalent to a grege cellulosic fibers and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The objective moisture absorptive and heat build-up cellulosic fibers are obtained by chemically bonding 0.3-2.5 pts.wt. of N-methylol (meth) acrylamide (N-MAM) and 5-45 pts.wt. of at least one kind of water-soluble vinylic polymerizable compound having carboxyl group or amino group expressed by -COOX (X is H, NH4 or an alkali metal) to 100 pts.wt. of cellulose. Otherwise, the moisture absorptive and heat build-up cellulosic fibers are produced by performing a first process in which the N-MAM is bonded with a hydroxyl group of cellulose to introduce the vinyl group into the cellulose, a second process in which the resultant cellulose derivative is subjected to addition polymerization with at least one kind of the water-soluble vinyl polymerizable compound by using the vinyl group as a initiation point, and a third process in which the resultant addition-polymerized cellulosic fibers are kept under a high humidity condition.
