Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an open yarn fabric in which fiber bundles are sufficiently opened at the crossing part of a warp and a weft, which is excellent in the impregnation of a resin and in the smoothness of surface, and which is useful as a reinforcing material or the like by weaving under the insertion of a weft into an open part in parallel to a holding means by a weft insertion means. SOLUTION: A warp group consisting of plural warps is held at a specific spacing by a pair of holding means 1 and 2 which can separately incline against the direction of warp while keeping a parallel relation to each other. Subsequently, a heald means 3 which is parallel to the holding means 1 and 2 is moved vertically in the range of the pair of the holding means 1 and 2, and at the same time one of the pair of holding means 1 and 2 is moved parallel in the square direction against the other holding means to approach it. Thus, the group of wefts is opened without twisting each of belt-shaped fiber bundles T, a weft is inserted into an open part in parallel to the holding means 1 and 2 by a weft insertion means 4 and weaving is performed to produce an open yarn fabric. Further, the belt-shaped fiber bundle T is preferably a carbon fiber bundle, glass fiber bundle or ceramic fiber bundle.
