To provide an encryption technology of an electronic mail by which an electronic mail can be prevented from being eavesdropped or altered on a network path including a mail server without needing any special mail client program.
In this electronic mail encryption processor equipped with an electronic mail processing means for encrypting an electronic mail, this electronic mail processing means receives an electronic mail from an electronic mail transmitting/receiving means to be used for transmitting/receiving an electronic mail by an electronic mail user, and decides whether or not the transmission message of the electronic mail should be encrypted by referring to the destination address of the received electronic mail, and executes the encryption processing of the transmission message by using a public key corresponding to the destination address when it is decided that the transmission message should be encrypted, and transmits the encrypted transmission message to an electronic mail receiving/distributing means for executing the distribution of the electronic mail to an external network and the reception of the electronic mail from the external network.
