Abstract:
PURPOSE:To achieve reproduction to a state with excellent contrast and sharpness by eliminating effect of scattering lines caused by an object in photographing when a radiation image is reproduced based on an image signal obtained by reading out the radiation image recorded on a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:An original image signal Sd obtained by a reading processing of a storage fluorescent sheet 13 is smoothed with an image processor 32 to obtain a differential signal S2=Sd-S1 between smoothing image signal S1 and the original image signal Sd. Then, a scattering line distribution signal S4 is obtained from the signal S3 which is calculated by an equitation S3=S2+Qc (Qc is a constant), and a signal Sp=S1-S4 is sent to an image reproducer 3 to reproduce a radiation image.
