Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a registration device that alleviates a quantization error taking into consideration a difference in way of looking between a reference image and an inquiry image, and enables a highly accurate calculation of a degree of similarity between the reference image and the inquiry image, and the like.SOLUTION: A first feature point detection unit 11 is configured to detect a feature point from a reference image, and a patch image generation unit 13 is configured to determine a peripheral area of the feature point of the reference image as a patch image, and generate a series of learning images by applying a series of projective conversions or blur conversions to the patch image. A third local feature-amount description unit 14 is configured to obtain an amount of local feature of the feature point in the series of the learning images as a feature vector. A statistical quantization unit 15 is configured to sum the obtained series of feature vectors for each detected feature point by quantization of the obtained series of feature vectors to a representative vector, respectively and determine the representative vector to be determined to be high in frequency as the feature vector having the feature point quantized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
