To provide a mechanism for protective sidewall from thunder adapted to cope with the problem wherein, in the present state, there are many that are not provided with protection against sidewall thunder even in such skyscrapers as exceeding 60 m in height, because protection against sidewall thunder is not prescribed in the previous JIS A4201:1992 before JIS A4201:2003 was revised, and in buildings on which surfaces conductors are not exposed, such damages occur as some are broken and dropped by lightning strikes.
Linear conductors are installed in a lattice pattern up to an predetermined height from the rooftop side on the sidewall surfaces of an existing building from a linear conductor, a first, a second T-shaped type connecting members for connecting three pieces of linear conductors on an identical plane, on an orthogonal plane, respectively; a first, a second cross-shaped type connecting members for connecting four pieces of linear conductors on an identical plane, on an orthogonal plane, respectively. A mechanism for protecting sidewall from lightning is designed to allow easy configuration in an existing building, by configuring connecting portions to existing conductors for grounding disposed on the building rooftops on T-shaped type connecting members on the rooftop side.
