Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate an air maintenance mechanism for maintaining a recommended air pressure to a pneumatic tire without interposition of a driver.SOLUTION: A first system used with a pneumatic tire so that a pressure of a tire cavity does not becomes lower than a set pressure, comprises: plural pumps each of which has a piston for inflating a tire cavity and a weight for moving the piston, and which are attached to a wheel rim in a circumferential direction; and a stop mechanism having a stop piston, stop cylinder, first spring and second spring. When the air pressure in the tire cavity reaches the set pressure, the set pressure exceeds force of the first spring to the stop piston, moves the stop piston for engaging the stop piston to the weight so as to stop the weight, when the air pressure in the tire cavity is less than the set pressure, the second spring force exceeds the first spring force, and the stop piston is moved to separate from the weight.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
