To provide a uniform having excellent comfortability in wearing and good treatability, and hardly allowing an underwear or the skin to be transparently seen even if the color is white or a light color which is used for the uniform especially for a medical care field, and chemical industry of medicine manufacture, food, cosmetics or the like.
The uniform having excellent performance for preventing see-through and hygroscopic properties comprises a union cloth having a structural texture of double weaving or multi weaving including a hydrophobic synthetic fiber and a hydrophilic fiber exemplified by an acrylate-based fiber. The front surface side of the union cloth is mainly formed out of the hydrophobic synthetic fiber, and the back surface side thereof is mainly formed out of the yarns containing the hydrophilic fiber. The maximum value of the number of the floating yarns containing the hydrophilic fiber on the back surface is 2-5, and ▵E/T obtained from the difference ▵E of see-through values when dyed so that the L-value may be ≥90 by the evaluation by a color-difference meter, and the thickness T (mm) of cloth is ≥2.0 but ≤9.0.
