Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine which prevents odor from going into the washing and drying machine and going up to installation space from a drain hose.SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine includes: a washing and dewatering tub for accommodating clothes; an outer tub for including the washing and dewatering tub; a housing for accommodating the outer tub; a driving mechanism for rotationally driving the washing and dewatering tub; driving control means for controlling the driving mechanism; and rotational speed detection means for measuring the rotational speed of the washing and dewatering tub. When an operation is interrupted, water is drained from a drain hose. Thereby, while air is being exhausted from the drain hose, the drain hose can be prevented from being left open, by pressing a power source button and a temporary stopping button. Thus, it can be prevented that odor from the drain hose wafts in the washing and drying machine and in the room where the washing and drying machine is installed.
