Abstract:
In this 1,3-butadiene manufacturing method, an ethanol supply source material is vaporized with a vaporizer (104), the result is supplied to two or more parallel first reactors (108) and the ethanol is converted to acetaldehyde in the presence of a first catalyst, a generated intermediate gas is supplied to a second reactor (110) and the ethanol and acetaldehyde are converted to 1,3-butadiene in the presence of a second catalyst, a crude generated gas including the 1,3-butadiene is refined with a gas-liquid separator (112), a first distillation column (114), a fourth reactor (116), and a second distillation column (118), an acetaldehyde-including gas obtained with the second distillation column (118) and/or a portion of an ethanol-including gas is/are mixed with the intermediate gas, and the molar ratio (ethanol/acetaldehyde) in the intermediate gas is adjusted to 1-100.
