Abstract:
Provided is a production method capable of producing a 9,9-bis (3,5-dialkyl-4-aminophenyl) fluorene compound in a high yield. A 9,9-bis (3,5-dialkyl-4-aminophenyl) fluorene compound represented by general formula (2) below is produced by reacting 9-fluorenone with 2, 6-dialkylanilines represented by the following general formula (1) in the coexistence of an acid catalyst in an aprotic polar solvent having an amide bond and a boiling point of 170°C or more. (In the formula, R represents any of the aliphatic hydrocarbon groups having 1-4 carbon atoms.)
