Abstract:
This absorbent (10) comprises: a plurality of fiber masses (11) which contain synthetic fibers (11F); and a plurality of water-absorbent fibers (12F). The fiber masses (11) are entangled with one another or the fiber masses (11) are entangled with the water-absorbent fibers (12F). The fiber masses (11) are provided with two principal surfaces (111) which face one another and skeleton surfaces (112) connecting the two principal surfaces (111). The number of fiber ends present in each of the principal surface (111) and the skeleton surface (112) per unit of area is greater in the skeleton surface (112) than in the principal surface (111).
