Abstract:
Provided is an accompanying mobile body capable of quickly reflecting, in a movement state, a change of an accompanying condition by instruction of a user. A predicted position calculation unit 53 calculates a predicted position of a user after lapse of a predetermined time period, on the basis of the movement state of the user recognized by a movement state recognition unit 52. An accompanying control unit 54 executes accompanying control for moving a shopping cart 1 by a traveling unit 10, toward a goal accompanying position that is away by a specified distance in a specified direction from the predicted position. An accompanying condition change unit 51 changes one or both of the specified direction and the specified distance in accordance with a change instruction by the user.
