Abstract:
Provided are: an acid alkylating agent represented by general formula (1), by which a compound having at least one acidic group selected from among a sulfonic acid group, a phosphoric acid group and a phenolic hydroxyl group is acid alkylated; a method for producing an acid alkylated product; a resin composition; and a polyester film. In the formula, R2 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group or an alkoxy group; R3 represents a moiety represented by general formula (2) or general formula (3); each of R11-R13 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group; R2, R3, R11, R12 and R13 may combine together to form a ring; each of R31-R33 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; R31-R33 may combine together to form a ring; R41 represents a substituent; n represents an integer of 0-5; and * represents the bonding position with a nitrogen atom in general formula (1).
