Abstract:
Disclosed is an acrylate compound for a coating, having both an oleophilic polycyclic aliphatic group and a hydrophilic hydroxy group, as well as a higher polymerization reaction activity. When the acrylate compound is used for a solvent-type acrylic coating, the coating exhibits excellent weather resistance, wear resistance, high glossiness and fullness, etc.; and when the acrylate compound is used for an aqueous acrylic coating, the hydrophilic hydroxy group and the oleophilic aliphatic group of the compound exhibit a good miscibillity, a high polymerization activity, and a low amount of residual monomers in an emulsion system, and a coating after film formation exhibits properties such as an excellent weather resistance, water and oil resistance, impact resistance, and high glossiness. The preparation method of the acrylate compound has a simple process, easily controlled conditions, fewer side reactions, a high conversion of reaction materials, and a high product purity.
