Abstract:
Provided is an acrylic polymer that contains structural units derived from an aromatic compound having a vinyl group and structural units derived from (meth)acrylic acid, the proportion of the structural units derived from (meth)acrylic acid to the total structural units being 7-44 mass%, and the acrylic polymer having a chemical structure derived from a tertiary alkyl mercaptan and having a particulate shape. The acrylic polymer is soluble in organic solvents and alkaline water.
