Abstract:
An actuator for an internal combustion engine variable compression ratio mechanism has: a housing having an electric motor for making a variable compression ratio mechanism variable by rotations of a motor shaft, an electric motor attachment unit to which the electric motor is attached, and a through hole through which an inner portion and an outer portion are communicated; a detected unit provided to the motor shaft; and a rotation angle sensor having a sensor main body which is provided in the inner portion of the housing and has a detecting unit for detecting a rotation of the detected unit, and a sensor connector which is extended outwards in a radial direction of the rotation shaft of the motor shaft from the sensor main body, and at least a tip end of which is projected from the inner portion of the housing to the outer portion thereof through the through hole.
