Abstract:
This invention is related to an adapter (1) which is capable of honing on CNC machines without the need for an external honing machine with an aim to obtain low surface smoothness, used in machinery factories and all facilities that include a processing center. The adapter (1) which is integral with the honing kit is connected to part holders on CNC machines, thus a separate honing machine is not needed and it saves on space and lowers costs, and it is not necessary to separately transport the parts to a honing machine after completion of their standard procedures.

Claims:
CLAIMS - An adapter (1) capable of honing on CNC machines comprising of a body (2) and characterized in that it includes a connector (3) on the body (2) which allows for connecting an adapter (1) capable of honing on CNC machines to part holders on CNC machines, and a lock housing (4) on the body (2) which prevents deviation after the adapter (1) is attached to the honing kit, and a discharge port (5) on the bod (2) which prevents the inlet of shavings or liquids into the adapter (1) during honing and allows for discharging, and an adjustment bolt (6) on the body (2) which allows for transferring the clamp force to the vertical axis and thus, allows for adjusting the mechanic and hydraulic expansion on the honing kit.

AN ADAPTER CAPABLE OF HONING ON CNC MACHINES

Technical Field

The present invention is related to an adapter capable of honing on CNC machines without the need for any external honing counter with an aim to obtain low surface smoothness, used in machinery factories and all facilities that have a processing center.

The adapter which is integral with the honing tool is connected to tool holders on CNC machines, thus an external honing machine is not needed and it saves on space and lowers costs, as well as making it unnecessary to separately transport to the honing machine after conducting standard procedures on parts.

Prior Art

Honing is a cylindrical kit mounted with abrasive stones on the top, rotating around its own axis and making a periodically changing stroke movement, thus removing material from a work piece under continuous surface contact. This process is used to obtain the correct size of cylinder holes.

After honing, low surface smoothness and measurement precision are obtained. At the same time, it is applied as the final procedure after lathing, stoning and rectification etc.

Today, investment is made for honing machines which are custom made for this surface roughness adjustment procedure applied in lien with the customer demands inside the cylindrical diameter of motor blocks, and this procedure is realized on honing machines. Honing machines are high cost and manufactured abroad.

Also, parts are separately carried and transported to the honing machine where the procedure is realized. This causes loss of time and increases costs.

The Patent numbered KR 20190033729 in prior art is related to a honing tool apparatus which allows for automatically honing and processing a honing component along the center on a position of the processing hole of a processed object.

The practices described in prior art do not refer to honing by connecting a honing kit to a CNC machine without the need for a separate honing machine through a connection apparatus, thus saving on space and cost, and preventing loss of time due to carrying the parts to a honing machine.

Description of the Invention

The adapter capable of honing on CNC machines developed for the purpose of the present invention is demonstrated in attached drawings.

These drawings are as follows;

An adapter (1) capable of honing on CNC machines in the present invention is comprised of;

A body (2)

A connector (3) on the body (2), which allows for connecting an adapter (1) capable of honing on CNC machines to tool holders on CNC machines

A lock housing (4) on the body (2), which prevents deviation after attaching the adapter (1) to the honing kit

A discharge port (5) on the body (2), which allows for preventing the inlet of shavings or liquids inside the adapter (1) and discharging

An adjusting bolt (6) on the body (2), which allows for transferring the clamping force to the vertical axis and thus, adjusting the mechanic and hydraulic expansion on the honing kit. Thanks to an adapter (1) capable of honing on CNC machines in the present invention, the honing procedure can be realized on the CNC machine not on the honing machine. Therefore, it is not needed to use a honing machine. As honing machines are manufactured abroad, it will not be necessary to import these machines. Therefore, it lowers costs.

Thanks to an adapter (1) capable of honing on CNC machines in the present invention, all procedures for the part on the present machine will be realized on a single machine and the honing process will be added at the end of other procedures. Therefore, semi-finished product stocks will be prevented and it will save on space and time.

The adapter (1) is connected to the part holders on the CNC machine with a bolt with the connector (3) on an adapter (1) capable of honing on CNC machines. Therefore, after the procedure on the CNC machine is completed, the parts are not carried to a separate machine and the honing procedure is realized on the same machine.

There is a discharge port (5) on an adapter (1) capable of honing on CNC machines in the present invention. During honing, water or undesired particles such as shavings are discharged from the discharge port (5).
