Abstract:

An adaptive equalizing circuit suitably used for the regeneration of a digital signal, and a regenerative device using it. A regenerative signal processed by a data generating circuit and its characteristic information are supplied to a processor for weighting-factor computing. The processor is controlled by a controller to select an adaptive equalizing program used for the computing and control an internal step size with a high accuracy. A weight factor computed by this processor is supplied to a transversal filter to subject a regenerative signal to adaptive equalizing. Accordingly, an adaptive equalizing circuit can be used in a tracking control-free regenerative device.
