The present invention relates to an additive for a dehydration reaction of 1-alcohol and to a method for preparing 1-olefin using same and, more specifically, to: an additive for a dehydration reaction of 1-alcohol which can suppress side reactions and effectively reduce the production of isomers in a dehydration reaction of bio-derived 1-alcohol to simultaneously satisfy high selectivity and purity of 1-olefin and also harvest 1-olefin in high yield to mass-produce 1-olefin in a very economical manner; and a method for preparing 1-olefin using same.
