Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an adhesive tape cutter with improved safety, comprising a safety device that is a pair of protection members at the top portion of a cutting portion, and further comprising a safety device that prevents contact with a cutting blade by intrusion into a tape cutting space. [Solution] An adhesive tape cutter comprises a tape cutter body, an adhesive tape wound into a roll, a tape holding portion that rotatably holds the tape, a cutting portion to press and cut tape that has been pulled out, and a support member that holds a rotational protection member. The cutting portion comprises a cutting blade for which the upper edge that cuts the adhesive tape is in an approximate V-shape, and a rotational protection member that is disposed as a pair to the right and left of the sides of the top portion of the cutting blade. The rotational protection member is a structure that functions as a tape guide and prevents a finger from intruding from above the cutting blade, and comprises a structure, which is on the exterior of the cutting blade, equipped with a guard plate that moves up and down in response to the up and down movement of the tape during cutting.
