Claims

1. A make-up and/or make-up assistance device comprising a support (21) configured to be positioned on the face and at least one make-up application and/or assistance component (22) supported by the support (21), wherein the shape of the support (21) is substantially adapted to the morphology of a predefined zone of the face and wherein the make-up application or assistance component (22) is adjustably connected to the support (21) so as to allow its position relative to the support (21) to be modified, the support (21) having a personalized shape.

2. The device as claimed in claim 1, the one or more make-up application and/or assistance devices (22) having a personalized shape.

3. The device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, comprising an adjustable connection (23) connecting the make-up application or assistance component (22) to the support (21), this connection (23) being plastically deformable and/or having at least one sliding and/or rotary part in order to modify the position of the make-up application or assistance component (22) relative to the support (21).

4. The device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, the device being height and/or spacing adjustable.

5. The device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, comprising two make-up application and/or assistance components (22) disposed on either side of the support (21), in particular for making-up eyebrows, eyes and/or cheeks.

6. The device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, comprising at least one locking element for blocking the one or each make-up application or assistance component (22) in a given position relative to the support (21).

7. The device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, being arranged so as to be held by gripping the nose or any other predefined zone of the head.

8. The device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, the one or more application components (22) having a fibrous and/or porous element (220) and/or a brush, in particular a rotary brush, laden with a cosmetic composition.

9. A method for manufacturing a make-up and/or make-up assistance device as claimed in claims 1 to 8, the device comprising a support (21) intended to come into abutment against a zone of the face when the device is used, said support supporting at least one make-up application or assistance component (22), the method comprising the following steps of: acquiring topographical data of at least the zone of the face that will be used as a bearing zone for the support when the device is used; manufacturing the support (21) with a personalized shape adapted to the bearing zone as a function of the topographical data thus acquired.

10. The method as claimed in claim 9, the topographical data being acquired digitally, in particular using a 3D digitization tool, or by molding the zone.

11. The method as claimed in claim 9 or 10, the support (21) being manufactured using an additive manufacturing technique, in particular by 3D printing, or by numerical control machining.

12. The method as claimed in any one of claims 9 to 11, the bearing zone of the device being an ear, part of the skull or of the nose, in particular the nasal bridge.

13. The method as claimed in any one of claims 9 to 12, the positioning of the make-up application and/or assistance component (22) relative to the support (21) occurring during manufacturing, as a function of the acquired topographical data.

14. A method for adjusting a make-up device as defined in any one of claims 1 to 8, comprising a step of adjusting the position of the make-up application or assistance component (22) relative to the support (21), in order to move the make-up application or assistance component (22) to a predefined position.

15. The method as claimed in the preceding claim, the adjustment occurring automatically using an ancillary system using topographical data of the zone to be made-up, which data is acquired digitally beforehand, in particular using a 3D digitization tool, or is acquired by molding the zone.

16. The method as claimed in claim 14 or 15, the adjustment step comprising an action on a locking device in order to set the position of the make-up application and/or assistance component (22) in the position in which the device has been adjusted.

17. A method for making-up zones of keratin materials of a user, using a device as defined in any one of claims 1 to 8, comprising the following steps of: engaging the support against a corresponding bearing zone of the face; applying a cosmetic composition using the application component (22) of the device previously laden with the cosmetic composition or by manual application using the make-up assistance component (22) of the device.

18. The method as claimed in the preceding claim, the make-up assistance component (22) acting as a stencil.

19. An assembly comprising a device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 8 and a plurality of make-up application or assistance components (22) that can be interchangeably mounted on the device (20).

Description

Title: ADJUSTABLE COSMETIC DEVICE

Technical field

The present invention relates to a make-up or make-up assistance device for making-up human keratin materials, such as the skin, the eyelashes or the eyebrows. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such a device, a method for adjusting said device, as well as a make-up method using said device.

Prior art

Many people make-up their face in order to enhance their beauty and/or conceal certain imperfections. However, these people do not always have much time to dedicate to their make-up methods, which can be complex. Thus, they can be severely hampered by imperfect results. Complex make-up is understood to be the application of make-up with at least two colors, with these colors being juxtaposed one next to the other or produced in the form of a shading. Generating such an effect requires time, but also great skill. This complexity can cause people to lower their ambitions with respect to their make-up.

Some people nevertheless attempt to carry out complex make-up methods, but they become aware of another factor that they find difficult to control. Indeed, for some parts of the face, the make-up is applied in two separate zones, which nevertheless must have an equivalent result with a lateral symmetry effect, called “mirror effect”. This is the case when making-up eyelids, eyebrows, eyelashes and cheeks. Conversely, this is not considered to be the case when making-up the lips, the forehead, the chin since, even though these zones are symmetrical, it is not considered necessary for the hand to be raised in order to move from one end of the zone to the other.

“Separate symmetrical zones” are understood to be zones of the face that are symmetrical relative to the median axis of the face, with the making-up of the two symmetrical zones not being able to occur without raising the hand to move from one zone to the other.

When applying simple make-up, the treatment of the separate symmetrical zones does not pose a problem if the result can be softened. This is the case for the cheeks and for the eyelids to a certain extent. However, this is not the case for the eyebrows. One way of applying eyebrow make-up is to work on a first eyebrow, by moving the applicator as precisely as possible, then to attempt to reproduce the same movement whilst taking into account the mirror effect. Since this exercise is difficult, it often requires several attempts, which involve the withdrawal of a first test before moving on to the second. It is often the case that the make-up is imperfect, since the two eyebrows are not the same shape and/or are not at the same height and/or at the same distance from the median vertical line of the face.

One possible solution for attempting to apply satisfactory make-up is to use a stencil, which allows the movement to be guided. However, this solution is not always suitable since the shape is imposed by the system. However, it is highly unlikely that a stencil can be found that always corresponds to the desired shape and arrangement. The solution that involves using the stencil for an eyebrow, by providing the freedom to orient it and/or to modify the distance relative to the median vertical line in order to approach the desired result, is not satisfactory, since, when wishing to make-up the other eyebrow, it becomes clear that it is not possible to reproduce the same orientation and/or the same distance relative to the median vertical line. Furthermore, by considering that the stencil is held in one hand, and therefore that make-up is applied with the other hand, the movement of the hand is not the same and the brain struggles to orient the hand and to control the movement. Thus, it is expected that, if the hand has been moved from the centre toward the outside right for the right-hand eyebrow, the hand is moved from the centre toward the outside left for the left- hand eyebrow. However, instinctively, the hand that moves does not follow this logic and the final result is completely asymmetrical.

When applying complex make-up, it is very difficult to apply acceptable make-up to separate symmetrical zones. The design of the previously described stencil is not suitable. Indeed, it is very difficult to find a stencil adapted to their morphology. Furthermore, the softening, which is performed after application, generally leads to an asymmetrical effect, with it being understood that it is difficult to reproduce the same equivalent softening effect on both sides.

Some solutions have been proposed that are based on the application of decals or stickers. Such solutions are not aesthetic and once again raise the issue of positioning. It is to be noted that once the mirror effect is not followed, the result is not completely satisfactory in terms of aesthetics. Systems are also known that work like stencils, allowing the user to be guided when making-up eyebrows. These stencils have predefined shapes, which are not always adapted to the morphology of the face of the user. Furthermore, these systems are made of rigid plastic and on their own cannot be held in abutment on a zone of the face. They have a tab, which allows the user to hold the stencils against the zone to be made-up during use.

Disclosure of the invention

Consequently, a requirement exists for easily and precisely making-up, in particular by complying with the mirror effect, the separate symmetrical zones of the face.

The invention particularly aims to address this requirement.

Summary of the invention

Device

Thus, the aim of the invention is a make-up and/or make-up assistance device comprising a support configured to be positioned on the face and at least one make-up application and/or assistance component supported by the support, wherein the shape of the support is substantially adapted to the morphology of a predefined zone of the face and wherein the make-up application or assistance component is adjustably connected to the support so as to allow its position relative to the support to be modified.

The device according to the invention allows a cosmetic composition to be applied easily and with a low risk of error. The support is substantially adapted to the morphology of the zone against which it will come into abutment when the device is used, which means that from the outset it is designed to be applied against a predefined zone and to substantially conform to the profile. For example, if said zone is the nose, the support is designed to conform to the shape of the nose or to adjust itself above, with the support having, for example, a shape that is designed to be suitable for a large number of users. Where appropriate, the support can be offered in several standard sizes.

Adapting the support to the morphology allows the device to be effectively set, and said device can be produced, where appropriate, in order to hold itself in place on the face. Thus, the user does not need to hold the device in place when applying make-up. They can have both hands free, which can allow them to more easily apply their make-up when the device is fitted with one or more make-up assistance components. The adjustable nature of the device allows the position of the one or more make-up application and/or assistance components to be modified and to thus adapt the device to the morphology of each user, even between several users. For example, the same device can be adjusted differently in order to be shared between people without the same spacing between the eyes and the median line of the face.

The support can have a personalized shape.

“Personalized shape” denotes a shape that reproduces the negative shape of a zone of the face. For example, the support can reproduce the negative imprint of the nose of the user. Such a personalized shape allows the make-up device to be further stabilized and the comfort of the user to be enhanced. The support then can be naturally positioned on the predefined zone of the face, which will then act as a bearing zone.

The one or more make-up application and/or assistance components also can have a personalized shape. For example, the application component can reproduce the negative shape of an eye, in order to make-up the eyelid in particular.

Such a shape of the make-up application and/or assistance component allows make-up to be precisely applied on a zone of the face.

In general, the device can comprise an adjustable connection connecting the make-up application or assistance component to the support, with this connection being plastically deformable and/or having at least one sliding and/or rotary part in order to modify the position of the make-up application or assistance component relative to the support.

This adjustable connection allows the device to be modified by adapting the spaces between the median line of the face and the make-up application or assistance components to the morphology of the user. Preferably, this adjustment is reversible. Thus, the same device can be adjusted differently in order to be used by several users, or in order to apply different make-up on the same person.

The same device can be used to make-up different zones of the face.

In one embodiment, the device comprises two make-up application and/or assistance components disposed on either side of the support, in particular for making-up eyebrows, eyes and/or cheeks.

The presence of two make-up application and/or assistance components allows separate symmetrical zones of the face to be made-up identically if so desired. Thus, the resulting make-up is particularly aesthetic. Furthermore, when two application components are used, in particular acting by transference, make-up can be applied on two zones simultaneously. The make-up method is then completed more quickly.

Advantageously, the device is symmetrical along the median axis of the face of the user. In order to guarantee this symmetry, the device can be produced so that when the space between the make-up application or assistance component and the median line of the face is modified, the other component moves according to the rules of vertical symmetry. The system is provided with, for example, a drive system allowing a movement of one of the make-up application or assistance components to be transferred relative to the other one of said components, so that the two components move symmetrically relative to the support. Thus, the device can comprise a mechanism for copying the movement. In an alternative embodiment, the two spaces are modified by virtue of a motorized drive movement of the two components relative to the support. In another alternative embodiment, only one of the spaces is modified by the action of a motor, with the other being modified by hand. In this case, the device comprises, for example, a mechanism that allows the position to be detected in which the component is manually moved, and the other component is moved to a symmetrical position in a motorized manner.

Preferably, the device is height and/or spacing adjustable.

The device thus can be configured so that it is possible to adjust the space between the one or each make-up application and/or assistance component and the median line of the face, and/or to adjust the height space along the median vertical axis of the face between the support and the one or each make-up application and/or assistance component.

The device can comprise at least one locking element for blocking the one or each make-up application or assistance component in a given position relative to the support. This locking element is, for example, a notch that snaps into a corresponding recess, or a brake applied by a spring on a friction surface, or any other means for increasing the force to be exerted in order to modify an existing adjustment.

Locking the configuration of the device in a given position reduces the risk of an unwanted modification of the adjustment.

The device can be arranged to be held by gripping the nose or any other predefined zone of the head. Where appropriate, the support comprises a coating that reduces slippage, for example, a soft material or a material having a particular surface finish, coming into contact with the skin. Any type of make-up application or assistance component can be used in the invention, with this component being able to be motorized or non-motorized, single or multiple use, movable or non-movable during application, supplied with product or not supplied with product.

The one or more application components of the device allow, for example, a cosmetic composition to be transferred by being applied on the skin. As an alternative embodiment, the one or more components are arranged to be actuated by a movement during application relative to the surface to be made-up.

The one or more application components of the device have, for example, a fibrous and/or porous and/or brush, in particular rotary, element laden with a cosmetic composition.

The one or each application component also can be arranged to spray or impress the composition and, for example, comprise a spray material applicator.

The application component also can be a tool for modifying a material already deposited on the human keratin materials, such as a make-up sponge, a fine brush or a brush.

The make-up assistance tool is, for example, a stencil. It demarcates a zone, in which the user can apply a cosmetic composition.

It is possible to use a combination of several make-up application and/or assistance components. For example, it can involve a stencil combined with a material applicator. Thus, the stencil allows the area to be limited on which the material applicator applies the cosmetic composition. It can involve combining a material applicator and a tool for modifying the material after it is deposited. The modification tool allows, for example, the cosmetic composition that has been applied by the material applicator to be softened. It can involve combining a stencil and a modification tool. The cosmetic composition is applied by hand in the zone demarcated by the stencil, then the modification tool allows softening to be completed. Finally, it can involve combining a stencil, a material applicator and a modification tool. The stencil is used to demarcate the area of application of the cosmetic composition, the material applicator that is used to apply it and the modification tool that is used to soften it.

The device can comprise a system configured to identify the applicator that is used, for example, using a code. A specific program can be activated as a function of the identified application component. For example, if the system identifies that the applicator is a rotary brush, a program allowing the start-up, the speed and/or the shutdown of the brush to be controlled can be executed.

The application components are either material applicators, such as, for example, sprays or elements laden with a composition, for example, since they are porous and impregnated with the composition, or tools for modifying a previously deposited material, such as, for example, a make-up sponge, a fine brush or a brush.

The application component can be configured to assume several shapes. In particular, it can assume a flat shape and a non-flat shape.

The flat shape allows the applicator to be laden with a composition, by bringing the application component into contact with the cosmetic composition, in order to apply, for example, a flat tint or a transferable pattern. The applicator can be laden in its flat configuration with a layer of powder or a fluid.

The non-flat shape can be a shape used for the application, and can be outwardly concave or convex, in particular outwardly concave.

In particular, it can be a personalized shape reproducing the negative imprint of the eyelid or of any other zone of the face. This non-flat shape allows the cosmetic composition to be correctly applied on the zone to be made-up. In particular, when intending to transfer a pattern, this specific shape allows it to be precisely transferred whilst limiting the risk of deterioration.

The non-flat shape can be such that it would be difficult to load the applicator with the composition. The fact that a flat configuration can be assumed facilitates the loading of the applicator.

Where appropriate, the application components can be configured to be able to be separated from the device with a view to spreading the cosmetic composition above, before again securing them to the device. This can facilitate the handling of the application components in order to laden them with the composition.

The orientation of the make-up application or assistance components, relative to the support, preferably is modifiable. For example, they can be pivoted by 180° about adjustable connections.

In another embodiment, the device comprises a reservoir containing the cosmetic composition. The cosmetic composition can be delivered by the application components when applying make-up. The reservoir can be flexible, which allows, for example, by exerting a manual pressure from above, its content to be forced to reach the application components, by virtue of suitable supply channels.

Manufacturing method

A further aim of the invention, according to another feature thereof, is a method for manufacturing a make-up and/or make-up assistance device, in particular a device according to the invention as defined above, the device comprising a support intended to come into abutment against a zone of the face when the device is used, said support supporting at least one make-up application or assistance component, the method comprising the following steps of: acquiring topographical data of at least the zone of the face that will be used as a bearing zone for the support when the device is used; manufacturing the support with a personalized shape adapted to the bearing zone, as a function of the topographical data thus acquired.

The topographical data is acquired digitally, for example, in particular using a 3D digitization tool or by molding the zone.

The topographical data used in the method according to the invention preferably originates from 3D digitization, on the one hand, of at least the zone of the face that will be used as a bearing zone for the support when the device is used. The scan particularly can be made using one or more cameras with, where appropriate, a structured light being projected onto said zone.

The use of a 3D digitization tool to acquire the topographical data has the advantage of being fast. Additionally, this acquisition mode is not unpleasant for the user, unlike other solutions such as, for example, those using a mold.

The topographical data of each user can be stored on a server. This server allows the topographical data of the users to be saved so that it can be used again. Thus, the user does not have to reacquire the topographical data each time the device is adjusted.

This possibility is particularly useful in the event that this device is used in a beauty salon. The user can record their topographical data on the server to avoid having to complete the acquisition again during a subsequent visit. The topographical data can be indexed by the name of each user, or any other identifier, allowing it to be retrieved on another visit.

The topographical data of the person can, where appropriate, be recovered following a prior acquisition, which was not necessarily intended to be supplied to the make-up device, such as, for example, a medical scan.

The support can be manufactured using an additive manufacturing technique, in particular by 3D printing, or by numerical control machining.

The use of an additive manufacturing technique allows a personalized support to be simply manufactured. The support is preferably made of plastic material, in particular thermoplastic material.

The bearing zone of the device is, for example, an ear, part of the skull or nose, in particular the nasal bridge.

The nasal bridge is a bearing zone that is particularly well suited for the use of the device. Indeed, the support can be set on each side through lateral bearing, which provides the device with good stability and thus allows the make-up to be correctly applied.

The positioning of the make-up application and/or assistance component relative to the support can occur during manufacturing, as a function of the acquired topographical data.

The device can be adjusted to the morphology of the user when it is manufactured and can be offered in this shape. The person then can no longer modify the connection between the support and the make-up application and/or assistance component. This manufacturing method allows the one or more make-up application or assistance components to be precisely located relative to the support, as a function of the acquired topographical data.

Adjustment method

A further aim of the invention, according to another one of the features thereof, is a method for adjusting a make-up device according to the invention, comprising a step of adjusting the position of the make-up application or assistance component relative to the support, in order to move the make-up application or assistance component to a predefined position.

In an example of use, the one or each make-up application and/or assistance component is placed above the zone to be made-up. The space between the median vertical line and the one or more make-up application or assistance components can be determined by one of the following methods:

(a) measuring the spacing between the median line of the face and a zone to be made-up or a previously made up zone. The space between the median vertical line and the one or more make-up application or assistance components is set so that it is equal to this measurement. This measurement also can be made between two zones to be made-up or that are previously made-up, then can be split into two for people with a specifically symmetrical face;

(b) using an adjustable apparatus, called “test apparatus”, that is placed on the face, and is then adjusted until each make-up application and/or assistance component of the test apparatus is superposed with a zone to be made-up or a previously made-up zone. The make-up device is then adjusted in the same configuration as the test apparatus;

(c) capturing the topographical data of a predefined zone of the face using a 3D digitization tool;

(d) capturing the topographical data of a face wearing make-up previously applied by a “make-up artist”, for example, by means of a 3D digitization tool. The device is subsequently positioned as a function of the captured topographical data in order to reproduce the arrangement shown on the screen;

(e) capturing the topographical data of a face that is displayed on a screen and is modified using digital means. The device is subsequently positioned as a function of the captured topographical data, then modified in order to reproduce the make-up.

The adjustment occurs, for example, automatically using an ancillary system using topographical data of the zone to be made-up, which data is previously acquired digitally, in particular using a 3D digitization tool, or is acquired by molding the zone.

In an alternative embodiment, the user is provided with the measurements of the dimensions of the face, with the user modifying the vertical and horizontal spaces of the device until the adjustment application or assistance components are positioned at the desired location. A light, audible or touch signal can notify them that they have reached the correct position.

In another alternative embodiment, the device according to the invention is designed so that it can be adjusted by an ancillary adjustment system. The whole device or an adjustable connection of the device is then positioned on the ancillary system, which comprises elements for modifying the spaces of the one or more adjustable connections of the device. The means for modifying the spaces of the ancillary system can be manual or motorized. Advantageously, the device is connected to a simulation system for viewing the expected result on a screen, for example. This simulation system then allows the result to be shown before the user applies the make-up. It can then optimize the result, avoid any errors and therefore make it quicker to apply their make-up by limiting the number of applications. By virtue of this system, the number of times the user has to remove their make-up if they are not happy with the result is reduced. Another possibility is to show several types of make up on the screen, and to then select one of them. The ancillary adjustment system will adjust the spaces accordingly or will guide the person to the adjustment to be made as a function of the desired make-up.

Another possibility involves using the topographical data of the face of the user beforehand to simulate the 3D or 2D face of the user on the screen. The system then can be configured to superpose make-up on this 2D or 3D face so that the user sees the resulting make-up before applying it.

The adjustment step of the adjustment method according to the invention can comprise an action on a locking device, in order to set the position of the make-up application and/or assistance component in the position in which the device has been adjusted.

A further aim of the invention is a method for making-up zones of keratin materials of a user, using a device according to the invention, comprising the following steps of: engaging the support against a corresponding bearing zone of the face; applying a cosmetic composition using the application component of the device previously laden with the cosmetic composition or by manual application using the make up assistance component of the device.

The term “keratin materials” refers to the skin, including the scalp, the lips, the nails, the hair and the eyebrows, and preferably the lips or the facial skin, in particular that of the eyelids or of the cheeks.

In the event that the application component can assume two shapes, a cosmetic composition can be taken with the flat shape of the applicator, and then can be provided with the non-flat shape when transferring the cosmetic composition onto the keratin materials. In order to facilitate the loading of the application components with the cosmetic composition, they can be separated from the device. Once laden with the cosmetic composition, they once again can be secured to the device

In another embodiment, the application components are loaded by pivoting them by 180° about adjustable connections in order to spread the cosmetic composition therein. Then, they are reoriented in the correct direction for use, i.e. opposite the zone to be made-up.

If the device comprises a reservoir as described above, the reservoir is pressed, and the fluid is then expelled in order to exit through the application components. A device also can be produced with several reservoirs containing, for example, cosmetic compositions with different colors and/or natures. Thus, it is possible to apply at least two colors at two different locations.

In a particular embodiment of the invention, the system automatically controls the discharge of the cosmetic compositions, together or individually. Thus, an individual can select one color or another as desired.

The make-up assistance tool acts like a stencil, for example.

It can be, for example, a stencil in the form of an eyebrow. The user can then manually apply a cosmetic composition to the space demarcated by the stencil in order to draw their eyebrows. With the device being set on the bearing zone, the user can use both their hands, which facilitates making-up.

Assembly

A further aim of the invention is an assembly comprising a device according to the invention and a plurality of make-up application or assistance components that can be interchangeably mounted on the device.

The make-up application or assistance components can be secured by snap-fitting, or otherwise, to the adjustable connections of the device. Furthermore, their orientation is adjustable. The user thus can select the one or more make-up application or assistance components that they wish to use as a function of the zone to be made-up or of the make-up to be applied.

Brief description of the drawings The invention may be better understood from reading the following detailed description of non-limiting illustrative embodiments thereof, and from examining the appended drawing, in which:

Figure 1 shows a face of a user. The zone N around the nose is intended to act as a support for a make-up device according to the invention. The nasal bridge R, which is the narrowest part of the nose, is particularly adapted to receive the make-up device. The median axis M of the face is shown.

An example 20 of a device according to the invention is illustrated in figure 2. This device 20 comprises a support 21 adapted to come into abutment on the nasal bridge R of the user. The support 21 comprises two plates 211, which, when the device 20 is used, come into abutment against the wings of the nasal bridge R. The device 20 comprises two application components 22 located on either side of the support 21 and connected thereto by adjustable connections 23. The connections 23 are produced so that it is possible to vary their length in order to modify the space between the one or each make-up application and/or assistance component 22 and the support 21. Telescopic rods can be used, for example. As an alternative embodiment, the application components 22 are secured to the connections 23 so that they can slide along the connections 23.

The make-up application and/or assistance components 22 are secured to the connections 23 by any suitable means, for example, by screwing or snap-fitting. As another alternative embodiment, the make-up application and/or assistance components 22 are secured to the connections 23 by means of a clip. It is then possible to modify the position of the make-up connection and/or assistance component 23 and to thus adjust the space between said component and the support 11.

Figure 3 illustrates an embodiment of the device 20 where the support 21 is personalized. The device comprises a support 21 that has a cavity, which corresponds to the negative imprint of the zone N of the nose of the user. This support 21 is made of plastic material. It is produced, for example, using a 3D printer. The application components 22 are connected to the support 21 by the adjustable connections 23.

Figures 4 to 8 illustrate the various possibilities of adjusting the personalized device 20. As shown in figure 4, the personalized device 20 can be height adjusted, along the Y axis, and spacing adjusted, along the X axis. A height adjustment component 24, such as a rod, for example, is secured to the support 21 in order to be able to modify the height of the application components 22. The application components 22 are attached to a positioning component 25. Said positioning component is able to slide along the adjustment component 24. The positioning component 25 also allows the space between the support 21 and each of the application components 22 to be adjusted, for example, by means of a belt.

As illustrated in figure 6, it is possible to adjust the orientation of the connections 23. The angle a between the height adjustment component 24 and the adjustable connection 23 can vary between 0 and 180°.

It is possible to modify the orientation of the application components 22 by applying a rotation thereto in the XY plane, as shown in figure 7.

Finally, as shown in figure 8, it is possible to pivot the application components 22 about the X axis. This particularly allows the cosmetic composition to be easily deposited before turning over the application component 22 so that it is opposite the zone to be made- up.

In the example shown in figure 9, the application component 22 has a porous element 220, for example, a foam. This porous element 220 can be in the negative shape of the zone to be made-up. This porous element 220 is intended to come into contact with the zone of keratin materials to be made-up. During use, the porous element 220 is soaked with a cosmetic composition, then deposited onto the zone to be made-up by exerting a pressure on the application components 22 to allow the composition to be transferred.

The device 20 can be connected to a simulation system 30, shown in figure 13. This simulation system 30 comprises a screen that allows resulting make-up to be shown. The simulation system 30 is a smart phone, for example. This resulting make-up is displayed on a 2D or 3D representation of the face of the user, so that they can assess the effect produced by the make-up on their face. Several make-up results can be displayed on the screen. The user can then select, between the various possibilities, the make-up that they wish to apply. The device 20 can be adjusted automatically using a motor 26 controlled by a control system 27. This control system comprises a microcontroller, for example. The control system 27 is able to communicate, by a wireless connection, for example, by Bluetooth, with the simulation system 30. This simulation system transmits the position data of the application components 22 to the control system 27 in order to reproduce the make up selected by the user.

In another embodiment, shown in figure 11, the device 20 comprises a reservoir 28 containing a cosmetic composition. This reservoir is secured to the adjustment component 24, for example. For example, it is made of a flexible material, for example, from plastic. The cosmetic composition is routed at the application components 22 through a pipe 28 E A pressure exerted on the reservoir 28 then allows the cosmetic composition to be discharged through the pipe 281 and to be dispensed through the application components 22. This cosmetic composition subsequently can be applied to the zone to be made-up by pressing the application components 22 against the zone to be made-up.

The device 20 can comprise more than one reservoir, for example, two reservoirs 28, 28’, as illustrated in figure 12. Cosmetic compositions with different colors or different natures then can be applied. The two cosmetic compositions either can be mixed or applied at different locations. As an alternative embodiment, the device 20 comprises more than two reservoirs.

In one embodiment, the user selects the make-up on the simulation system 30, and in particular the color of the cosmetic compositions, that they wish to apply. The simulation system 30 relays the information relating to the selections of the user to the control system 27. This control system 27 controls the motor 26, which allows the height and the spacing of the application components 22 to be adjusted. This control system 27 also controls solenoid valves 29, which control the passage of the cosmetic composition from the reservoirs 28, 28’ to the application components 22.

Example

Example 1

In this example, a make-up device according to the invention is produced that is intended to make-up the eyes.

Firstly, the topographical data of the nose of a person is recorded using a 3D camera. The distance between the median line of the face and the eyes is also measured.

A support 21 is produced for the device 20 by 3D printing based on the previously acquired topographical data of the nose of the person. This positioning component is 3 cm wide and 7 cm high, for example. Two 1.5 cm long set squares 31 are added to the upper part thereof, onto which the adjustable connections 23 can be screwed. The set squares 31 themselves are secured onto the support 21 by a screw 311. Each set square 31 comprises a slot, which will allow, by loosening and re-tightening, the height of the adjustable connections 23 to be changed, as shown in figure 15. Two adjustable connections 23 are screwed onto the set squares 31 that are, for example, ½ cm wide polyoxymethylene (POM) rods, the length of which is equal to half the distance between the median line of the face and the eyes, from which half the width of the support 21 is subtracted.

Finally, two application components 22, like that shown in figure 9, are produced.

To this end, the 3D morphology of the zone of each of the eyelids is taken, i.e. the non movable upper eyelid and the movable upper eyelid. These 3D files are used to produce a porous element 220, which reproduces the negative imprint of the zone to be made-up on the face of the user.

The porous element 220 is adhered onto the application component 22, which is produced from POM plastic material, for example.

The application components 22 are secured onto the connections 23 by means of a screw 221.

In order to apply the make-up, firstly the height of the connections 23 is adjusted to provide a position that is adapted to the person.

Then, the connections 23 are adjusted so that each porous element 220 is superposed on the zone to be made-up and depthwise is 1 cm away from this zone when the device 20 is positioned on the nose.

Then, a foundation composition is applied on each porous element 220. Then, the device 20 is brought close to the face.

The contact of each of the porous elements 220 is forced by pressing on the two application components 22 and the device 20 is withdrawn to verify the quality of the make-up that is obtained.

In another embodiment, the height of the connections 23 is firstly adjusted to ensure positioning that is suitable for the person.

The space between the support 21 and the application components 22 is then adjusted so that each porous element 220 comes into contact with the skin of the eyelids when the device 20 is positioned on the nose.

A 1 cm thick foam element is then adhered onto the support 21. In so doing, when the support 21 is positioned on the nose, the porous elements 220 of the application components 22 are located 1 cm away from the skin of the eyelids. In order to use the device, a foundation composition is applied onto each porous element 220 and the support 21 is positioned on the nose.

Contact is forced by pressing on the positioning components 22.

A device 20 according to example 1 is manufactured, except that the connections 23 are set, without any possibility of modification, and secured to the support 21.

Such a device 20 can be used with different make-up application and assistance components 22 within a cosmetic assembly for varying the effects of make-up without having to purchase a new device.

A device 20 according to example 2 is manufactured, except that a compressible 6 cm 3 , for example, reservoir 28 is added to the support that is connected to the application components 22 by means of two pipes 281, 28 G, for example, with an internal diameter of 0.8 mm, as illustrated in figure 11.

Furthermore, porous elements are adhered onto the application components 22, which elements have hollows, where the pipes 281, 281’ emerge.

The reservoir filled with cosmetic composition is pressed, whilst pressing the application components 22 onto the eyelids. The cosmetic composition is forced to move from the reservoir 28 toward the hollows of the porous elements 220. When said elements come into contact with the skin of the eyelids, a pressure is produced that causes the cosmetic composition to pass through the porous element and spread over the zone of the eyelids.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments that have just been described. For example, the support is produced so that it adapts to zones of the face other than the nose. The expression “comprising a” must be understood as being synonymous with “comprising at least one”.
